Dragon’s Moon Eye

The moon eye, so called because of its resemblance to a full moon, is the luminescent disc on the dragon’s eyelid that moves with the movement of the eye while the dragon sleeps. Although the moon eye has no function in the dragon’s vision, it serves to project the dragon’s fearsome vigilance when it is sleeping. When the dragon is awake the moon eye is not luminescent and blends with the eyelid, therefore is not discernible.
